It won't come back because the strum values are now part of the step phrase code (since v1.60).

Under the hood the strum STA attribute delays are just read-only step phrases (#'s 49 - 66), with it being possible to edit the earlier phrases 1 - 48.

One could argue that its now possible to create an additional 48 strum variations using the phrases -

I have found an old v1.40 & release notes - there has been quite a lot of changes since 1.40 (there was a 1.42 but I don't have that - anybody ??).

BTW if you want to try v1.40 without burning the OS then:

after.... load -m ymodem -b 0x0001000 & the file is transfered

enter the command 'go 0x00010040

This will run the OS but next time the sequencer is rebooted you will go back the v5

also would you happen to have a link to OS 1.40 elf? i tried to search on github or look around but had no luck.

@jean alright, thats what i was afraid of. was hoping i could take that out of the event section.

do you know if this feature will be back in future community OS?

is there a reason it was abandoned? as in, did it not work well with the gruv event?

The chord strum editor (from OS 0.98 to 1.40) was replaced by the Step Phrase editior in v1.60 onward. The chord strums values are now hardwired, but the effect shown in the video can be easily achieved using Step Phrases. When zoomed into a step double-click on the GRV attribute button to enter the phrase editior (v5.0 manual page 28).

the video below shows a chord strum editor that i cant seem to get into under any of the OS that i have tried.

any info on this would be helpful as i would like to play around with this. i am on v5 right now
